Is my family tartan available?

We have a range of popular colours which work with a large majority of wedding colour themes. Our wholesaler has access to hundreds of different tartans, but please bear in mind there are thousands of tartans. Whilst we do all we can to meet your requirements, we are not always able to get every tartan available in.

Can I purchase my own kilt outfit?

Yes you can. We welcome the opportunity to measure you and provide a competitive quote. If you purchase your own outfit you will have more options available to you, not only in relation to the kilt but also jacket, shoe and accessory options.

How do I go about hiring an outfit?

Our process is really easy. Simply call of make an appointment (please note we are open by appointment only). At your appointment you can see our available outfits and get measured.

The week leading up to your event you can have your outfit couriered to you (for an additional cost) or arrange a convenient time to pick it up. Once you are finished with the outfit, simply drop off and pick up your cash bond in line with the times stated in our T&C's.

I've never worn a kilt before, how will I know if I'm wearing it correctly?

Once you have booked your outfit from A Highland Wedding Kilt hire, we will explain in detail how to correctly wear Highland attire. We also provide you with a quick guide to keep on hand for your big day in case you forget anything.

What should I wear under my kilt?

A true scotsman never reveals what is under his kilt, but we have noticed that socks and shoes can normally be found directly below the kilt!

I'd like a bagpiper at my wedding, do you know where I can find one?

We can assist with providing bagpipers and other celtic musicians for your wedding or event through our sister company, Pipers of Distinction. We can advise on what would be best for your event and our professional full time musicians are able to learn specific tunes (as long as they can be played on the bagpipe!). Pipers of Distinction has provided musicians for the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Jimmy Barnes, Bryan Adams and John Farnham as well as playing at hundreds of events throughout the year.
